The elimination of bias and discrimination is a sticky topic in the legal profession. In the past people would turn to justify it with the moral argument, that is was “just the right thing to do”. However, there are serious bottom-line implications for diverse firms. Furthermore, it’s the law; a number of states around the country have followed the ABA’s lead and outlawed bias and discrimination to some degree in the workplace.
